Following medical school, Dr. Waldrep was selected for a general surgery residency with the Army’s most prestigious surgical training program at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Waldrep is known for taking the time to develop a personal rapport with each of his patients and delivering consistent results with minimal downtime. He has successfully completed hundreds of robotic cases and over five hundred laparoscopic surgeries.

Dr. Waldrep was deployed on three tours in Afghanistan on forward surgical teams where he provided care to soldiers serving on the front lines. Although Dr. Waldrep chose not to continue his career in the Army, he was selected for promotion to Lieutenant Colonel shortly before he completed his service.
